A WordPress eCommerce website optimized for SEO and user experience

JAM Industrial Supply has been a leading distributor of industrial supplies from top brands for over 10 years, but they started off with a simple and limited brochure-type website that didn’t allow customers to make online purchases.

At the start of our partnership we were just doing some monthly SEO and reporting on their existing website. They turned to us to transform their site into a comprehensive eCommerce hub where customers could easily search for, find and purchase the industrial supplies they need. After working through our extensive discovery process, we put together a solid website strategy and sitemap and got to work. We chose WooCommerce to build up their extensive product inventory because of its seamless integration with WordPress.

Part of this project involved gathering details for and uploading JAM Industrial’s very large product inventory. We spent a significant amount of time making sure that each product had the right information and images to make this an effective way to generate online sales. Another large part of the project was dedicated to building a robust URL redirect and SEO strategy to maintain their already high organic rankings.

Post-launch results in the first year were outstanding and online revenue continues to climb:

  • 319% increase in online revenue
  • 21% improvement in ecommerce conversion rate
  • 65% improvement in organic search e-commerce conversion rate

With the foundation of a strong website to direct ads to, we started running Google Ads campaigns to promote specific products. We've seen great success with this tactic so far. In fact, there was a 108% increase in revenue in Q1 2022 vs. Q1 2021, with 51% of revenue coming from Google Ads campaigns.
