Today on the Academy we’re going to be exploring the concept of reinvention. For me, this idea is closely linked to many of my personal feelings, and my company’s core values. High-performing people and great companies that are focused on excellence are never happy with the status quo, they’re always continually improving and growing, with the goal of working toward their long-term goals and pushing beyond what the competition is doing. To do this successfully you need to reinvent yourself on a regular basis and that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
“Intentional reinvention” – possibly the most powerful and defining action that we can take that can, quite literally, reshape almost every aspect of our lives – how we think about things (our thoughts, beliefs, judgments and decisions), how we feel about things (our positive and negative emotions) and how we approach our physical wellbeing (our eating, exercising, sleeping, self-care and safety habits).
For today, however, we’ll laser focus on the business side –zeroing in on reinvention as it relates to growing our businesses and growing ourselves.
For this podcast I’m going to be collaborating with, and guided by the advice and experience of my friend Gwen Walsh.
