Getting found online if you’re a local business is extremely important. It doesn’t happen automatically. Google is smart, but if you don’t do all the right things, they’re not going to know that you exist.
In this episode you’ll learn about a free service called Google My Business. I’ll walk you through the basics of GMB, why it’s important, how to claim and optimize your listing, and ultimately help you get the most out of this critical opportunity to promote your local business online.
So what is Google My Business?
GMB is a free service that helps small businesses establish a local business listing on Google. GMB (for short) allows you to optimize your listing with all the information that a customer, and Google, might need to know about your services, including contact information, your address, as well as what you do and sell. You can even add specific products, specials, links and photos that all help customers to decide if you’re going to be the best provider for their needs.
