Right where users always click first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Appear in Google\u2019s Event Pack, Carousel, or Knowledge Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Google\u2019s Event Pack<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanctuarymg.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image1.png\" alt=\"image1\" title=\"image1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanctuarymg.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image3-498x1024.png\" alt=\"image3\" title=\"image3\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Event Pack contains one to three events above the organic results, as you can see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Users search on \u201cConcerts,\u201d \u201cFestivals,\u201d \u201cNightlife,\u201d \u201cShows\u201d, \u201cParties\u201d or other events and the Event Pack appears: you want to be in the first position, which gets the highest click through rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Google\u2019s Event Carousel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanctuarymg.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image2.png\" alt=\"image2\" title=\"image2\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Carousel can contain 16 results on desktop and four on mobile, and, again, appears above the organic listing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Knowledge Panels for Events &amp; Performers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanctuarymg.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image5-498x1024.png\" alt=\"image5\" title=\"image5\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A user types in a performer\u2019s name and reaches the Knowledge Panel, which also contains event listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Difference Between Event Pack and Carousel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When your user clicks an event in the Event Pack, they go to a page Google has indexed \u2013 if this is your event, they\u2019ll be on your event page. This is the most desired result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If they click on the Carousel, they end up on another search results page like the one they\u2019re on now, with the current Event as the search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to ensure your event appears in Google\u2019s new event displays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schema Markup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You must use schema mark-up on your pages, specifically:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Event pack<\/li><li>Carousel<\/li><li>Knowledge graph\/panel<\/li><li>Rich snippets<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Important areas you need to have marked up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Location (venue)<\/li><li>Location Address (venue address)<\/li><li>Name (Event Name)<\/li><li>Location name (venue name)<\/li><li>Start Date<\/li><li>End Date<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Image<\/li><li>Description<\/li><li>Offers<\/li><li>Offers availability<\/li><li>Offers price<\/li><li>Performer<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Google\u2019s schema mark-up (Start date, Event Name, Description) can allow you four good links to your events as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanctuarymg.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image4.png\" alt=\"image4\" title=\"image4\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marketing your event using content, images and keywords<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure your event gets the best publicity possible, you\u2019ll need bright, interesting content and really good, high resolution photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Optimize that event name by using keywords that users search on! Use the city where the event will occur, for example.
