I believe in the power of permission marketing if it’s used properly. That should include properly setting up an double opt-in system, to effectively writing content that actually drives traffic. Before you focus on any other issue, you need to build a decent list of subscribers with the goal of converting those subscribers into customers. How you do this is the big question and one that we’ll spend a lot of time on in the future. But right out of the gates, you need to focus your efforts on creative ways to get highly qualified and targeted subscribers to sign-up – that have actually granted permission to receive your emails. The words “highly qualified” and “targeted” are key here because the last thing you want is a herd of freebie hunters scamming you out of your incentives – or worse – populating the list with addresses that you think are potential targets, just to find out that they could car less about your message or worse, they consider your efforts spam because you manually added their address to the list without their permission. Chris has been working professionally as a developer and designer since 1989. Over the years he’s built a diversified portfolio of experiences to say the least. Chris started his professional “online” career in 1994 by diving head first into the role of Creative Director for an advertising agency in Fairlawn Ohio. That same year he built his first web site and he’s been involved with developing websites, online marketing, online software and managing everything “web” related ever since.

Chris was a member of the national online creative team at Knight Ridder Digital (one of the largest online newspaper publishers in the country and the largest online content producer of it’s kind) where he designed and managed online advertising campaigns for clients, designed websites and managed about everything else that one can do along the way. After a 10 year stint at KRD, Chris joined 168MG (A local web development company in Ohio) as a managing partner where he helped to double the size of the company in just under a year. Now, as president of Sanctuary, he continues to offer the quality services, imaginative solutions and high client satisfaction that’s become his hallmark.

To round it all out, Chris is an accomplished photographer and artist, music nut, husband, and father of two wild boys and one amazing daughter. He lives in North Canton Ohio with his wife, kids and dog Cole (A black Cocker Spaniel).

Pam has a background in nursing and is an accomplished number cruncher. She helps to manage the offices and projects, handles the invoicing and accounting as well as keeping everyone sane and organized. Pam loves to travel, be with her husband and kids and enjoy fine food and the company of her friends.

Jason Jividen is the Project Strategist and Lead Consultant at Sanctuary Media Group. He began his online career 1998 as Marketing Director for Neon Cactus – a multimedia content development firm in Akron, Ohio. From that point forward his career has been consumed with bridging the gap between cutting edge web tech and traditional marketing and advertising approaches.

Jason has had extensive experience in internal and external web strategy, as well as classified vertical marketing. As the Akron-Cleveland Area Manager for Cars.com and member of the site’s Product Development Committee, he was able to develop clear methodologies for traffic amassment and routing. He was also able to contribute to the creation of web-based communications, data retention/delivery, and CRM tools.

After 11 years in online classified marketing, including stints with Advance Internet’s Cleveland.com and Cox AutoTrader, Jason joined the Sanctuary Media Group to aid in client development, client relations, and marketing. His focus is, put simply, counsel our clients to transform their web initiatives into productive, contributing components of the core business.

Beyond that, he is a married father of three. He lives in Akron, and just kicked off his 19th season as a football coach.
